Circle the date “24th July” on your calendar folks!! Ample time to make arrangements & preparations to let your kids attend BookXcess’ upcoming storytelling session! We assure you that it will be another FUN, FUN, FUN experience with BookXcess! Parents & guardians too can enjoy the delightful hour with your little ones! 
Date: 24th July 2010 (Saturday)
Time: 2.00pm-3.00pm
- Registration can be done via email (lukreiza@bookxcess.com), walk-in or fax to 03-79601505.
- Registration is open to kids between the ages of 3-8 years old only.
- Registration is limited to a maximum of two (2) children.
- Due to limited space, the session can only accommodate 50 children. The 50 participants will be notified via email latest by Friday (23rd July 2010).
Please take note that the spaces will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Let’s end the Children’s Book Week with a bang!!
BookXcess will be conducting a lively storytelling session by Anne Elizabeth Ooi this Sunday (16th May), at 10am.
Only *30 spaces are available, so hurry up and register now! To register, please download the form, STORYTELLING REGISTRATION FORM Please fill in the details and email it to lukreiza@bookxcess.com as soon as possible to be the first 30.
Please take note that the spaces will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Only the first 30 participants who will be joining the storytelling session be notified via email, latest by Saturday.

Here’s a poem written in conjunction with the launch of BookXcess’s new store. We’d like to think of it as our anthem. And we’d like you to be a part of it, because we are all in this together.
AN ODE TO CHEAP BOOKS (FOR ALL)
Cheap books never made anyone poorer.
They say as much as any other
and more of their reader.
Their pages turn as well, if not better
than the book that price has fettered.
Cheap books come from the same place
but they go farther.
Pulp from the same tree,
ink from the same well,
words from the same writer;
Cheap books are not bound to discriminate.
They are happy to come off their high shelves
to proffer a ride the next time they’re thumbed
with little thought of the next destination until the final full
stop.
Cheap books enjoy being passed around
to earn renewed reputation through annotations,
until dog-eared with irreverence
and creased with experience,
they come to look the part.
Yet they have never been more than just cheap books from the
start.
And their reader, never richer
to have read more for less.

How to Participate in Our Ode to Cheap Books
1. Read the poem quietly, feel it, and then read it out loud.
2. Record yourself reading it, shouting it, singing it. Interpret the poem the way you feel it should be.
3. Post the video on our Facebook BookXcess wall.
4. Get your friends to vote for your video by getting them to ‘like’ your video. Tag yourself and the friends you’d like to share the video with.
5. For the three most liked videos by 30 April 2010 the winners will receive:
